Free Peds

This is about a few out of game ways I have found to get free peds. They are of course not really free in a tanstafl sense, as you do need to do things like fill out a survey to get them, but they are free in the sense you don't need to pay money or deposit to get them. So they are free in the same sense the peds you get from sweating are free. Some people fill out the urveys while sweating, and others just prefer this way to make peds.


So far I have found three places that have this type of offering. They all seem to have some offerings that are unique to them, and all are free to join, so if you want to maximize your ways to earn peds you can sign up for all of them.



Metarl

Metarl so far is my favorite of the three. I have personally gotten paid by them, and they have some of the easiest to do tasks to earn the credits. They will either pay you directly in game or you can trade your credits for an ultimate game card that can then be used to make a deposit into EU (or other games as well). They payout when you reach only 200 points, or 2 peds, so also have a very low barrier to payout time. If you only sign up for one this is probably the best pick right now.


PrizeRebel

PrizeRebel has been around for awhile. They are less focused on in game currencies then the other two though.

You need to get the ultimate game card to get peds from this, and they have a higher limit before you can get paid. They do have more offers, support more types of payouts for other games, and seem to work in more countries then the other two. Worth going for as well, especially if you play more then just entropia and want ways to pay for it then your wallet directly.


Zehx
----

Zehx focuses on just peds/EU at present. They offer the most per survey you do in peds also. They are also the newest and don't have a track record as yet. The domain till recently was a free hosting service though. Worth checking out and giving a try though as you get some free credits just for signing up at the moment. We will be keeping an eye on this one and update our review in a month or two when the service has been live for some more time.

Hi there, micker from zehx here. Just wanted to drop my $0.02 on the above post.

While Zehx.com is the newest of the paid-in-ped sites listed above, I have been an active player in Entropia since early 2007. Many of you may know me, or the society I started in 2007, the Gods of Chaos.

While rotrap is right, we don't have much of a track record yet, we've only been in business for 2 weeks. In that two weeks we've already paid out just over 2000 peds to our users. Plus, we have an exclusive 500PED hunting event on March 27th that is only open to participating zehx users. The event is 'single biggest loot' and we'll be hunting big Daikiba's and Berycleds. I encourage anyone to take part in the event, its going to be a lot of fun.

As to rotraps comments about zehx recently being a free hosting service, he is kind of correct. I've owned the zehx domain name for the past three years and have been sitting on it most of that time. In the summer of 2008 I opened a carbon-neutral green freehost service at Zehx (Zero Emissions Hosting eXchange). Unfortunately I discovered that the majority of the users of the free hosting were looking for somewhere to store malware and phishing files. Due to the nefarious nature of most of the free hosting users that had signed up, I shut zehx hosting down in late summer 2008 and the domain has sat mostly unused since then.

When I decided to start an entropia based advertising service I brought the zehx.com domain name back from the dead because its short, easy to remember and somewhat catchy.

Hopefully that explanation gives you some background about the name and why you might see mentions of it as a free host if you search hard enough on google.

It seems there are no surveys available to my country so I think it's mostly for US citizens atm. (correctme if I'm wrong). Idea seems to be nice though.

The vendor that provides the surveys does have them for 34 different countries, but not every country is represented.

If you did sign up but can't complete the survey send me a message from the 'contact' form on the site. Any unclaimed tickets for the 500PED Players choice event on March 27 will be distributed to international users that didn't have surveys available to them.

Also, I'm in the process of completely rewriting the software that powers zehx to allow for the addition of 3 other survey networks that will add hundreds of new surveys to the site. This should help full the gaps for users that aren't getting many survey options.

I just want to warn you about MetaRL... DON'T waste your time with this. I did some surveys and when it came time for payment the website owner just ban you from the site and dont even reply to your e-mails. It is just a scam site!!!
Cant tell anything about the other sites.
