Recruting

Well my brother and I have been playing EU for a looooong time, i believe its 6th oldest society still being ran. I was just wondering because we were getting serious again and wanting to get some recruits because we are down to just us.

What is the best way to recruit other entropians into a society?

Skilled ones.

Usually i get into simple conversations if i see freelancers and then ask if they were interested in a society. If they say yes, then i ask if they want to go on a team hunt or something and talk about it more.

Any other advise? Still a little sketchy :O

What society are you a member of? Personally if I ran my own society, I would certainly make sure I knew the people for a good long while. The first people I would ask if they wanted to join my society would be my friends and people I knew pretty well that way I would have a good base, and eventually bring in people slowly for evaulation.

If you want skilled players they have to come from your network (or your soc must be pretty famous).

If you want beginners: pick them up at PA.
I've once done that for our soc, not by shouting around that we need members, but simply because someone around there was asking all kind of questions. I answered some of them, then took him on a TP run, chatted with him etc. Only after that (and me concluding that he could be a nice addition for the soc), I asked whether he was interested.

Btw I got into my soc based upon a recommendation from my mentor. (his soc was too uber for me)

Enjoy!

Dutchie.

If you look for fresh meat have them as disciples first. In that you will see if they are seroius players or not. Otherwice use yor network or the way you do today, chat freelancers when you see them.

LOL, Nirfu, so your disciples are smarter than you, since you are still there :-)

Enjoy!

Right on Dutchie Smile

I'm dumb as a rock. And I play for fun, nothing else, and it's still fun, so intelligence not needed in my case.

That's the spirit!
Same here, but don't tell MA that they are not going to get big deposits from me

Enjoy!
