User guides and game info, what would you like to see?

I am thinking about writing some guides on different activities etc. I have had a fruitful career in about every profession. Some I actually did so well that people recognize me running around etc.

What would you guys and the public in general like to see me write about? I would also be very receptive to any help anyone wanted to provide.

Well, Nirfu has a lot of guides and he advertised them here before (http://nirfu.gluonsoft.se, section guides).

I suggest you pick something not covered by him.

Enjoy!

I will certainly take a look at Nirfu's guides. Anything you want to be sure you see in them even if they are already in Nirfu's guides?

There are a lot of guides and things out there telling you how to mine, how to hunt etc. and they are helpful... But I think what new players really need to keep them in the game is a guide set out to help them gain peds. That give them a general set of rules to follow and maybe a few different branches of the rules. So say someone doesnt want to deposit, then you can say something like, sweat until you have 10 peds, buy an opalo and 6 ped ammo and go for a hunt (realistically you dont wanna start hunting until you have much more peds lol but you get the idea). And then there could be a different branch which goes into mining first instead of hunting. Just all the different ways you can make inroads into this game.

Of course there is no way to assure you do not lose peds in this game but if anyone can write a guide to reduce the chances of losing all your money then that would be great.

I don't really know any answers to these things but this is what people need if they are going to stick with the game Smile

Hello Everyone,

I have been planning for some time to provide a getting started guide Similar to what has been suggested here.

There will be two main tracks, depositor and non-depositor, and cover getting started in all the standard proffessions. Since I am an established, non-depositing, player I think the non-depositing track will carry a little more credibility than those produced by people who just know the theory.

My efforts have been sidelined by IRL duties and job changes but I do hope to get something out before the end of the year. Perhaps I should limit myself to the non-depo side and let Kaiser take the other side as he is experienced there.

When feeling lost or unsure of your way find someone who seems to know where they are going and follow them.

You will find that while you rarely get where you wanted to go, you almost always get where you needed to be.

Grounder, I would love to see your guide, especially taking into account that you are an MD member and recalling that I saw somewhere else that MD expects about 85k of skills from their new members.

Dutchie (with a few small deposits and a year of play) is still only at 20k skills.

Enjoy!

Dutchie.

LOL - I snuck in before that requirement - so I am a legacy

My current skill level is aprox 28K but I have been in game almost two years.

As I always say, the non-depositing route is possible but it is alot slower than the depositing route - as it should be.

I thinked of a get started guide for long long time, it's really hard to put it the right way.
This is what came out: http://nirfu.gluonsoft.se/Path.htm

I know it's not perfect but I think the idea is good. and not 2 paths for non depositor and depositor. I went for 3 paths, non depositor, depositor and investor.
