Is MA support really that bad?

During my whole adventure with EU I've heard many negative opinions about support. I must say that in my personal opinion in case of support MA is doing their best to solve problems. I have made 3 support cases and 2 of them were solved quickly and in good way (1 was solved today: e-mail change request, MA support gave me first answer few hours after reporting it!). One case which wasn't solved was quite complicated (it was some kind of hunting bug) and happens really rarely. Even though they wrote that case was send to design team this bug occurred again within this VU.

So, if you were asked about how helpful, quick and effective support is how would you rate it? (1-useless piece of ..., 6-best thing I've ever seen).

I gave them a 2... I've submitted probably only two support cases ever, once was to re-activate my account which was done quite promptly and i was happy with the service. The second one was when I got stuck on CND when some servers went down. I asked if MA could return me to Calypso as I got up there through no fault of my own and had to pay a pilot fee to get down. I heard nothing for a matter of days so thought screw it, they arnt going to respond... and so got a flight down. About a couple of hours after returning to calypso they close my support case with "We see you have made your own way back to calypso now, case closed."

EXACT same thing happened to my housemate. And in the same fashion, no response for days until he got down himself, then the case was immediately closed with the same message.

I've never felt so spited before by MA support... the fact they would wait until I have got down and then just play dumb like they never knew... bah!

I've only had contact with the very rarely. Response time varied, response quality was ok (but then again I mostly send in suggestions or reported bugs, I never needed support because I was stuck or so).

Actually I was unaware that if a server is down on Calypso you can end up at CND (although I know someone who ended up at a nasty outpost on Amethera).

Enjoy!

I vote 1 which may be a bit harsh but reflects my experience.

They have improved dramatically over the last 6months to a year yet 90% of the responses are canned/pre-scripted responses that never lead to anything but "sorry EU is dynamic and designed to benefit MA not you so shut up and go read the uninforcable EULA" (of course I am paraphraseing Wink ).

It has gotten so I preface most of my requests with something like "I realize the EULA says xyz cant be done or is not owned by me but..."

As for as the technical support goes - I have solved more of my problems and provided them the solutions than they have even tried to.

I gave them a 2 and I should have given them more. I normally rag on them but I now have had two excellent experiences with them. One, they returned the EP-41 that I tt'd like an idiot. Second, I made a deposit and my credit card was charged but the ped never showed up on my account. I wrote a support case and 45 minutes later I received a response. They admitted the mistake, immediately refunded my credit card, and gave me a little gift to compensate for my trouble. I don't feel comfortable saying what they gave me in public but my soc mates probably remember.

To be honest with you guys I would certainly rethink your opinions I logged in just to say this. VERY recently, I'd say within the past MONTH, their support has taken a massive leap. They have their support for so far 8 cases of mine down to within 24 hour responses, they replaced a beacon that was already run but the server went down half way through and made me suffer 125 ped loss and I got a whole new 35 ped beacon, they replaced a number of TT'ed items, and have answered many questions. Try it for yourself Smile

Well,

with the improvement I saw and the two possative examples listed here I am looking forward to my next support case. As I see it I will be proved right (which I usually like) or I will get improved service (which I definitely like).

So MA is changing quality of their services (in case of support, that's what we are talking about here) for better. Good to hear that. I just wanted to express something different from general opinion that MA is pure evil. They are trying to improve their product (at least in some aspects) and we shall encourage them to do so (just in case someone from MA is reading Smile).

Too bad it took them all these years to do it and the loss of some influential players.

Hi there
I dont think they go on a 6, its not the support that can take access on the game or understand all our messages.
And I dont think its my computer that I made just to this game, nothing other jobs on this computer.

But sometimes I see my tools and weapons dont working, and its just in some areas I see this.
So I think there are some bugs in game, that I have tried to tell MA support.
