Hunting Smart?
I would just want to ask a couple general questions about how everyone hunts, and how it might seem to benefit them.
Latley I've been hunting Cersumons, with my newly bought 4C plates. Iv been asking around on my friends list, how much ammo is smart to take out on hunts? Before this i had always been using 5000 Light weapon cell for the Korss but when i went hunting cersumons for a little it didnt seem like a lot. I also noticed sometimes i might start getting very bad loots but i would reassure myself that something big would come along soon, which it never did. So i ask, what is a decent amount of ammo to carry on hunts, and when should you be aware enough to get out before it gets bad?
And- The loots on PE wiki show very often often common uncommon rare and un rare. I was just wondering what %'s or fractions or how often do these occur or what are they based off? Wouldnt mind looting some of those special things that they can drop .
Any other advise on how to hunt effectivly would be greatly appreciated, I wanna unlock serendipity soon also.

Well you have some excellent questions here. The problem is answers are going to vary based on player. I will give you my answers to your questions below:
How much ammo to take: Minimum 200 PED regularly 300 PED, plan on hunting a number of hours. I find that if I take outat least 100 I global on 90% of my hunts. You will also need multiple amps because they will die before you run out of ammo.
When should I leave: I NEVER leave a bad area. Some would argue with me on this and had you asked me 9 months ago I would have told you "There is no shame in leaving a bad hunt". I have found though that this can lead to further losses. I no longer leave an area that is looting poorly because for me 200 PED ammo on an H400 with A105 lasts me long enough that I usually hit something and make up for the losses at least to the point where I am even when I finish. It is VERY rare for me not to break even on a hunt. What it really boils down to though in my opinion is how much fluctuation of your PED card balance you can stomach.
Now for hunting advice, try as hard as you can to hunt within your skill level. This means if you need VERY heavy armor and FAP to stay alive you are probably not going to profit. Now very heavy armor and not much fapping thats fine. Very heavy fapping and not much armor is fine too but you DO NOT want both imho. Take Travis and I for instance. We hunt Daspletor on occasion. This requires serious armor and FAP. Sometimes we lose sometimes we win but usually when we lose we lose big and when we win we win big. For everyday hunting though this is my best advice. You also need to take kill speed into account. The mobs that take quite a bit of time to kill are usually very expensive. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the reply. I dunno whats up with the "200 ped thing" Everyone iv asked has said that exact same number 8) . Only problem is, i dont have enough PEDS to hunt cersumons for 200 ped. I do enjoy hunting around north of thethys creek with snargs and such though...
in return to hunting advice. Im using a fap 80 on cersumons young ~ mature and 2350 on Olds, with ghost 4C'd, but that ends up costing around 5~20 ped per hunt in just those repairs. And amps only about 11 ped per hunt when im using 5000 ammo. I DO use heavy fapping though..
Should i wait until i have even more skills to effectively hunt cersumons so i would lose less, or should i switch back to hunting things that cost less overall and i could run more ammo through?
Wanna get the most outa my peds =P Hard being an effective player even though iv been playing since i was about 11 1/2. 14 now =). All advice is taken into consideration. Thanks guys

My rule of thumb on any mob is if i have to FAP more than twice I don't hunt it. Obvously the exception is giganticmobs like falxangius, daspletor, chompers, etc.

Use a quick kill maxed out weapon to keep armordecay and fap low.
On medium mobs (fefs, bristles) with korss 400 maxed out (you have because you are also on the edge of serendipity, like me with laser sniper 29,5) you can reach about 2,85 realistic dmg/ pec. Within a lootpool where most hunters do a lower dmg/pec your long time result should be at least quitte or some small profit. and maybe the change of a lucky kill.
