MOB regen speed

MOBs regen at a certain rate and I'm pretty sure that rate is not constant across all mobs but is proportional to the mob max HP(I think). I'm finding that large mobs regen at around 3-4 hp/sec. Does anyone know of some more exact method of finding this? Has someone already done research on this? Can't find it on WIKI or anywhere else.

I THINK that the rule is 5% per 20 seconds though I"m not sure if that's accurate, its just something that I heard in twin peaks from a few ubers who were talking together.

ive heard the 5% per 20 seconds in passing as well but have yet to find any hard and fast research on the topic. If i get a chance later on i might do a simple daik test and work it out Wink

Naw, I think that's YOUR heal rate. For mobs it's not that much... a dasp yound would heal at 20 hp per sec if that were true.

could be that its 5% for low end mobs with a caped top rate ... again some tests are in order to solve this.

Good point addz.

This info would be a welcome addition to wiki though. I'll try to figure out some real data tonight.

Where is Greenpeace when its needed. All tests on animals should be banned!

Seriously, I thing that health regeneration rate do is not counted with %. It is rather hp/min dependent on mob type.

It could be that its a hp/min rate though larger mobs do seem to heal faster than smaller ones. Knowing MA theyve not made it easy for us and its some sort of exponential relation to the total health of the creature :?

Either way any healing/min can alse be expressed as a % of creature health were just trying to figure out if its the same for every creature or if this % changes from 1 creature to another.

the healing definitely occurs at system based time intervals. I've seen a lot of time that I hit a mob and within a second the bar increases.

Enjoy!

So you think its on a global regen tick based timer rather than a mob specific timer? Could be possible, and would definitely reduce server strain, another thing we will have to look into.

Yes, I've seen a number of times that I shot a mob, looked at the health bar, and saw it increment while looking at it (immediately after the shot). No idea if the regen is every second or e.g. every 20 seconds, and no idea how much

Enjoy!

Absolutely 100%

but this is not a huge issue on larger mobs because it takes you a couple minutes of hammering away to kill them...

HOWEVER

IF all mobs are tied to a global heal timer and they ALL gain hp at the same time. It be cool to have an app (maybe in PEASS) that would beep when this is supposed to happen. You know to first shoot a mob just after you hear ythe beep. It could save you 20 hp dmg per mob and that could REALLY add up over time.

'Health beep' Tongue. Nice idea. Now all we need to do is find out exactly when and how often it happens, examine big amount of mobs (maybe even one from each kind or in worst case one from each lvl: young, mature, old etc.). Analyse all the data and post it in pe-wiki. Then just verify everything and mail PEASS team to add this beep tool to their app. Then all we needed is to keep all those data up-to-date (even few seconds difference will make it useless). Easy. (It was irony)

Well, I have the source code for PEAss from chainfire in my comp but could just make an external app that would run in the background. You give me the data and I'll make it
