is it the more you spend, or the more you deposit?

if it is about spending (not dmg dealt), then economical weapons (imk2) don't give an advantage.

Hello,

You have a good point, the IMKII is an economical weapon but, and this is where it ties in with Kaisers theory, you are pumping out alot of ped in ammo, still some decay and you are dropping larger MOBs. So it is like playing the dollar slots instead of the quarter slots.

I have to say I have a massive aversion to whine posts like this that are based on nothing. If they have a base i'm fine with them but otherwise they are completely stupid and pointless. I have a disciple who got a 200 something ped mining hof and a global early on before she graduated and I know plenty of people who have gotten very large loots as noobs. If you're going to be whining about the loots and how noobs don't get anything look at it this way. You don't gain in this game unless you know how to play, and you obviously don't. You are probably a skillless noob with a LA cannon firing away at a target 200m away or something from what I hear. You have to know what and when to hunt as well. If you played this game just to profit please...just leave!

Well hang on, asking questions like this are the way players learn how things work. I don't have a problem with it if they take the time to read the response and demonstrate a desire to learn which i am seeing here.

Well I should be more precise. When I say spend I am talking about bad econ, running a lot of ped through the system and depositing often. It seems to be a combination of all the above at least in my case. Now here is the kicker I have some evidence that I am not at liberty to discuss that leads me to believe the loot system has multiple modes of operation. What I mean by this is that there are probably multiple methods of determining loot (say 4 or 5). The evidence seems to suggest that your avatar is assigned one of these methods at birth permanently.

This makes sense for a major reason. Think about the fact that you see 4 or 5 loot theories on everything, hunting, mining, crafting. This jives with the evidence I have been exposed to.

I think Travis's situation is a bit different for reasons I can not discuss as he is in a bit of a different situation than most of us to some extent.

That is very interesting as it would mean you have to find another ava with the same loot patern as you in order to test your theories.

I think that the loots system is a gambling. You never know wath you get and when you get it.
I gess a I'm a noob, I have sweating a lot to get some peds for hunting trips. (and no, I never deposit) often 10- 20 ped hunt. I gess I not can say that I have gone proffit. even tho I have keep som item, and not sold them.
But overall, no not so far any big proffit.
I don't want to belive that the loot system only make those that have make big deposit, gets big loots.
I think that the loot system is complete radom. But that is my point of view.

It is not necessarily only big deposits, it is actually a simple matter of mathematics. The more you spend (the more chances to win you pay for) the more chance you have of winning. The more you per chance to win the larger the return will be when you do win.

The problem is it is very possible to go an almost infinite period of time without winning. Some people like me are just a LOT more lucky than others.

Also some non-depositing tantillion hunters seem to have very good luck with their hunting without socializing with anyone or depositing ^.^ *cough cough*. On the other hand I got a global today completely randomly(first one in a long time) when I took my force mace out in a fit of rage after a maffoid killed another avatar I know and beat the heck out of like...4 maffoids and I hit a global. I wasn't really overjoyed or anything as it hasn't sunk in yet but right now I gotta say i'm starting to realize what happened Smile. I like profit.... Haha.

Hello,

I think it is a combination of how much you deposit and spend.

Think of it this way - MA makes money off decay and, typically, the movement of money creates, among other things, decay (inderictly I know). Also depositing is the only way to increase (or manitain) the ped balance in the EU econnomy. So it would make sense that MA rewards that behaviour.

For me loot seems to be random, the only factor being mob type.
You can steer things a little bit by hunting mobs that loot things with a nice markup (like molisk)

Enjoy!
