Hey guys I noticed something when a certain spam bot posted a topic on these forums with a really long name it messed with the active topics list. Please try to keep subject names relatively short or someone is gonna have to edit them to turuncate them and keep them from double lining every single active topic in the list. How about the certain spambot that just plastered the forum with p0rn? I think maybe we need to limit the posting of links and images to after a user has 1 day on the forums and 10 posts or something would make this a much easier way to combat such things happening again.

As far as I'm concerned our Administration is trying to work out solution. At the moment we are removing spambots manually and we hope that those things doesn't disturb you too much.

PrOn platered all over the forum? hell im 20 now im pretty sure i can hadle it ... younger users though may not apreciate it as much though.

Addz, please, be a bit more patient. We are doing our best to keep this forum spam free. No matter if it is p0rn, drugs or any other type of spam. All we can do atm is deleting posts, users and ban IPs. Other tools are still under development.

If anyone has seen something inappropriate for his age we are sorry.

I have posted max length subjects and never had a problem with it double posting in the active topics list.

Im sorry if what i said came across as impatient i was just making a suggestion as to a way that we could prevent alot more of these spammers without having to manually delete every post.

Didn't seem impatient to me at all. Please keep in mind though that adding modifications to the forum even something simple like a limit like that can require gigantic amounts of work from poor old Travis lol.

Yeah i run a small forum with a friend of mine as well ... its nowhere near as spiff as this though and weve only got like 20 members. Just the same i understand the huge amount of time it takes to fix problems when something goes wrong. And i think i speak for everyone when i say that we really apreciate the effort that trav, yourself and all the ods are putting in to this.

I have to say +karma to you Addz. I think that the idea he posted would be a great great addition where a person has to first activate by email and then for the first say, 2 days they cannot post anything with links or images or even the words http or www. That should clear up a vast majority.
