scanning skills ?
Hi,
I was wondering if I get more scanning skills from scanning big mobs than from scanning small mobs. Or is it all the same?
Anyone an idea about this?
Tnx, Dutchie.
Enjoy!

It is certainly all the same as I've skilled scanner a bit myself. You need to think though about the type of mob you're scanning. If you scan a person/player/auctioneer, then you get the least skills possible. On the other hand scanning robots I BELIEVE is the most beneficial skill wise.

Hotty, so you are saying that there are actually a few classes like:
- avatar's
- mobs
- mutants
- robots
and that there is no difference between maturitys when it comes to scanning, but there is a difference in the group.
Actually I've spent a little bit of time scanning feff's, and if anyone has a good spot with low maturity bots, please let me know so I can give that a try.
Also can you scan a trapped animal. I know they can't be sweated or hit, but I don't know about scanning.

Enjoy!

Hello Dutchie,
As far as I have seen there is no difference in the ammount of skill you get between a low or high maturity mob.
You do get different skills for scanning different things (mobs, mutants, robots) But I do not know the value in these skills (which is why I no longer scan).
Also, scanning a traped mob has been considered an exploit of a bug in the past and ava have been locked (temp) for it - so be carefull.

You will find that while you rarely get where you wanted to go, you almost always get where you needed to be.

Grounder, thanks for the advice.
I was not really planning on doing this, scanning indeed does not seem to provide much benefit and I do not want to get banned.
Not too sure if I could even trap a mutant (or climb somewhere where I would be out of reach for them)
(I can imagine though that the feff event @ fury some time ago provided some nice scanning opportunities).
Enjoy!
