TT items are worth TT+x!

TT items are worth TT+x! Why do I think so? I was bit bored so I checked new FAP and old good Opallo with this new market price tool. Fap got something abut TT+ 5 while Opallo... Nah, everyone should check it by him(her)self!

What do you think of it? It is quite nice idea to earn money on rich nobs or old but... lets say not to wise players. I wonder how long this is going to last.

This has always been as such (as far as I know).
Btw not too sure if this really gives a profit. Just check out peauction and notice that there are also a lot of transactions without sale (where the user still had to pay the 50 pec fee).

Actually for the old fap-5 I could even see a case for it. If you were a sweating n00b, I can imagine it could bee interesting to buy a 3 ped fap-5 for 3.50 ped instead of buying a 15 ped one at TT.

Enjoy!

Dutchie.

Auction history may not show what an item is worth, it shows previous bids.

For example basic engine is at 125% http://peauction.com/itemlisting.php?id=1865

That's where peauction's history is better than the ingame one. It shows auctions without bids too. It gives a better impression if the item is "worth" anything.

dutchie have you checked Opallo? No sweating nob can afford paying tt +100.I know it isn't new but it is worth to remind this especially after update. Noone likes to spend lots of PEDs on item worth just its TT.

Lolz, can't get ingame to cheack just now but I do see a pretty high bid on peauction. Someone been trying to play with the system I think.

ps I like the PEA message "This is a TT item, you shouldn't buy or sell it on auction" Smile

Oldest story in the book. MA has implemented a feature that sort of works. It gives incomplete information that at least in some cases is going to mislead new players and make them leave.

I would be really surprised if the in game price checking crap ever gets much usage.

Hello,

I must disagree with Kaiser regarding the use of the ingame price check - I think it will be used extensively especialy by newer players who are not aware of this site.

This is unfortunate because it appears the flaws in the ingame system are becomming aparent quite early to the more experienced players and will work to enable some scams causing the loss of new players.

Time to spread the word about this site in game to noobs so they can get a more complete picture of current market value.

You've got point Grounder. Even though, EU price check system has more data than one from PEAuction (data about earlier auctions) it seems to be easier for speculator, to play with prices and, I think it is correct word, scam people (not only nobs).

I gotta say that this massive fuck up on MA's part just cements peauction.com's future in the history books from here on out as far as i can see. MA never has released a fully working and functional piece of software, instead everything is just plain half assed...

Let's all back up a sec and review what just happened:

Some negative stuff is said about MA but it was clean and constructive. YOU WERE NOT IMMEDIATLY MODERATED. And then the conversation contiuned. Take that Neo.

Sorry, continue...

Right on. Actually this is exactly why I am here (together with the fact that if you are on the list of people neo & the mods like, you are not modded for things where others were modded for in the past.

Back to the topic:

VanBuren, yes I checked the opalo. Laughed my ass off.
Actually discussed this in the soc chat after I saw it, and some people suggested that there were money transfers where opalo has been used.
Seems MA does not filter outliers.

You might also check out the price of the S30's I sold you. According to MA they are around 130%, whereas most full ones go at 6 PED (115%), and peauction has hardly any transactions above 115.

Prices of animal hides are also interesting. No way I see auctions or trades on the street for the % that is listed ingame.
I thought this would be better wrt data collection as they could take buyout into account and because they would not miss any sale (sorry to say travis, but peauction sometimes do, see my thread in the rant section).
However, in about 5 minutes time my confidence in the ingame data was completely destroyed. Of course if someone would offer me the inflated MA price, I'm more than happy to sell most of my gear.

Enjoy!

Dutchie.

So we will use MA price for selling and PEAuction price for buying stuff. Sounds good Tongue
