Skill reduction over 5k

Since I am no longer an actively ped burning member of the EU universe, I often end up sweating and hunting small game instead of doing large hunts like I used to. I have heard from many society members that there is a very large skill decrease in gains imposed after about 5000 skills in anything, how real is this statement?

ever since the change in low end skills i have noticed that my skills are going quicker, but my highest skill is LWT at under 3k and HG at just over 2k. so gaing the low end seems to be much easier however i cannot say for the mid to upper levels

My highest skill is also under 5k but I haven't noticed any slowdown so in my opinion when I hit 5k I will either see a cliff face drop straight down, or I will see a very fast decline. I haven't noticed any decreases yet.

I'm up over 5k in maybe 15 skills with my highest at around 8.5k. It seems to move rediculously slow. However at 8.5k I can put a 10 ped tt chip into it and only gain 13 levels so the amount of skill gained is about the same per unit of ammo used. I do think that the skills MESSAGES have been decreased for higher skilled players. The overall skill increase rate has remained the same imho.

A 10 ped longblade chip gave me 40 lvls before the update and 10 lvls after. I'm getting same number of skill messages, same rate of skill-increase in lower skills, but (not very surprisingly) only one quarter of the lvls in LB i used to get before VU in the same period of time.
Exactly when it starts getting slower than what it used to, i don't know... also, i don't mind the change all that much. Now i can fill 3 1250 ped chips with LB instead of 1½ Tongue

(LB is past 11k)

I think that this is both a good and a bad thing that we see decreases. Good because it means that the players who have played for a long time now have a lot more value on their skills, yet at the same time it generally means that we might be getting a lot less skills out of each chip we buy and also means that us lower skilled players now have to work that much harder to make a solid mark in this game.

first they skrewed over beginners by reducing atributes, now their skrewing over higher level players by reducing skill gain over 5k, but in general it helps the economy, as less people will be spending money on chipping up loads and loads, and will spend it on skilling naturaly.

Yay i have a signiture Wink

um by help the economy you mean increasing inflation ... coz if everyone stops chipping and starts spending up to skill naturally then thats whats going to happen

He simply beat the living shit out of everything that was thrown at him, and the game forfeited.
