Advertising Boards

I was just wondering how you post adds on the advertising screens that are around the place. I know that some estates have advertising boards attatched to them which can be controled by the owner. But other than that who has control over the ones in the general population area such as twin peaks and PA ?

I know that the board ran the popular IT campaign which is how i and some others found out about this forum and i was just wondering how you go about making an add posting it up there and what costs are associated with it. Also if anyone knows if theres a list anywher that has which estates have advertising boards in them then let me know Smile

You have to own some type of an estate (apt., etc.). the you just go to an ad terminal, create an ad, pay the fee, and voila you have an ad.

How much is the fee? Does it depend on how much add time you want? also which boards do the adds appear on or is that an option you can select whe you make the add?

The fee depends on how long you want it to run and how often you want it to be seen. The minimum fee is 30PED and trust me you don't get much fro 30 PED. To run about 10 days with an 8% chance of showing is about 150 PED or so depending on how many ads are in the system at the time.

I'd suggest a cheaper method would be to hire a noob instead of a sign. The noob might actually be quicker. Not really sure though, also try posting on various forums and advertising in societies.

Hire a noob? u know if you just want an avatar sitting in the moddle of a busy place spamming then get an autoclicker. The ads allow you to add pictures and stuff as well which is nice Smile Meh also i tend to ignore spammers alot and i assume alot of other people will as well.

A better way to do it that i have seen is to get a pet and name it watever your message is and just park it in a busy place. Same effect and since some pets are large and stick out a fair bit it gets seen a fair bit.

Be creative: there are other ways to get free advertisements.

E.g. hunt in a team "visit Peaboard.com" and get a lot of globals :-)

The spammer method will not really help unless you have something to offer.
E.g. if you run a contest giving away a freebee and announce it in PA regularly you definitely will attract some starting players.

Btw, if you are interested I can also bring you in touch with Nirfu from uber magazine for an add. I think this will be cheaper than the boards (but then again maybe also less coverage).

Enjoy!

Dutchie.

The ingame ad system seems to work very well for PEAB. I am very happy with it so far. The major advantage is that it shows 24/7.

Look i know its a longshot idea i mean u guys have been hunting daspletor and other top end stuff for a while and still dont have an ATH but if you made it a fair size prize, maybe when the board grows a little bit more and we get some publicity to alot of the ubers out there theres a chance theyd go for it.

Id try it for manufacturing but
1 My luck sux and
2 you cant do it in a team Sad
