Can we get a Jokes and Humour topic under freestylin please instead of having them all in the 1 post coz they sorta all get lost in the 1 thread.
That way we can have a title for each post/joke and people can just go straight to the ones they like the sound of.

I think its a lot easier if we keep everything in just one post because its a MASSIVE clutter when you have 150 users posting their jokes daily and the entire recent messages box becomes one huge flurry of spammed jokes. I'm not against an entire subforum to make it easy though, just we should try to find a way so they don't always show up in huge clusters in the recent posts thing...just a pet peeve.

Yeah thats my take on it as well. I would rather not see tons and tons of jokes in the recent topics list. Let me give this a bit of thought. There are a number of features coming soon that will actually make handling this a lot easier.

i would like to say that even though i love jokes as much as the next guy i think that i get plenty of them in my own inbox. the jokes thread here should be for reaalllyyy good jokes. not to sound like a downer but i dont need to come here for everyday jokes and many threads with them, this is an EU forum not a joke forum and id like to see it that way and i would like to think that kaiser and the other admins would like to see this place be a place that is taken serious. that is not to say that jokes should be unwelcome but that there is a time and place for everything and this place is more for EU then joke threads. maybe im out of line here but its just what i see it as.


one sugestion i have is something i have seen used at another (now dead) forum that has a zone for threads that were spamish and threads started or moved there held no post count no karma ability and now sweat equilivant. maybe a sub section with a setup like that could be used. just throwing out an idea ive seen work.

As for having a go at me becuase kaiser already answered, yes i read his whole post, yes i know he said stuff was comming soon im not an idiot. The point of the post was to agree with erons statement and offer a little more on the suggestions made earlier. Maybe you should take some more of your own advice before you go giving other people a serve hey?

Addz I'm sorry I was just trying to delete spam. If you give me a list of my own posts that are redundant or spam, then I will gladly delete them just pm them to me. I was pruning a few threads like that gambling and porn thread so that might be why your post count went down and besides that I haven't edited many posts. And don't worry i'm not Mindark and I won't nerf any more of your posts I didnt know it irritated you what I was doing.

To be honest i really dont care that my post count went down, i was just a little annoyed that a post which was contributing/developing an idea was deleted. Made slightly worse was the fact that you were having a go at me for spamming so many joke threads, and then when i make a usefull thread with some suggestions to fix the problem you have a go at me again ... seems like i just cant win today.

University (colledge for everyone who doesnt know) started again 2 weeks ago and i have alot of loong boring 3 hour lectures the last hour of which i usually space out on a little and go through the forums. I admit that at some of these times i may go a little silly on the postage but its only coz im really really bored. At these times go nuts and prune to your little hearts content, but please use your discretion a little more next time and dont delete usefull post which are contributing something usfull.

I know the forum is still new but its in these infant stages that our sculpting will form it into something great for later on. If we just keep firing out sugestions and stuff up there im sure we can work through everything in time and make a forum to surpass all others.

I agree, now what exactly got deleted? I have spoken with hotty in the past and she agrees with me that nothing should be edited or deleted only locked unless it is the most extreme circumstances (spambots, threats, etc.). She may have inadvertantly deleted your post. Also there was a problem with double posts int he system (not by users) for a little while from what I read, she may have been deleting a double that turned out not to be a double.

I will ask this though, if you do have a problem with any member of the staff please bring it to my attention via PM. Our moderator works very hard to keep the forum clean and I would like ot handle any issues that may arise in PM.

I do want to say though I think it is great that people care so much. We wanted to create a place that people cared about and wanted to see grow.

Dont worry too much about it kaiser i dont hold a grudge, and i think weve allready put this to one side and moved on It may have been an honest mistake and hey, were only human.
