i used 3000 ammo to up my rifle skill from 0 to 129
m i doing good o bad?
usually how much u guys can gain from the beginning of the game?

The most important thing is to choose the right gun for your skill... right now you should be using an opalo with an a101 amp... hunt small mobs like snables and berys. At this level it's very easy and quick to up your skill levels so take advantage of that.

only partly agree with travis.

Indeed use the opalo. A101 is way overpriced.
Bery's are probably too big for you (unless you have goblin armor or so).
I suggest to start with daikibas and snablesnots around atlas
If you are bored by that move NW of argus to the snab's and exasaurs.

btw 3k ammo to go from 0 to 129 is probably ok. At 1500 this will probably only bring you 25 points. It does not scale linearly!

I would say start with the opalo and use that. If you need an a101, borrow it from a friend or society mate. They're too overpriced at the moment for a noob to afford one for themselves. Same with a102's. As for the skill gain, that's not too bad. How much of the ammo and decay were 'lost'?
