Hello all,
Jo(y)ning this forum is my first active step in broadening my horizon in the EU community (Please forgive me my typo's and grammar, but I am Dutch so I have a good excuse ). I am very intrested in the general economics mechanism of entropia universe and how it might influence loot statistics such as globals and HOF's or just making ROI while playing.
I would like to hear some responses and opinions on the following subjects
The basic principle of the game seems to be a banking software application with a graphics engine on top of it (some say it is a camouflage online casino).
So if it is banking software then all aspects of the game besides trade such as hunting, mining and crafting must also be governed by the laws of supply and demand. If there is a too big of excess in a perticular item would the system then not put a break on that item by reducing it in hunting loots, mining claims and crafting successes so that the economy will stay reasonably balanced and thus prevent a market crash on that item.
Perhaps market indicators can be used to make a better choise on which mobs to hunt or what to mine and what to craft at a certain period of time. |

Welcome Ise
Well I doubt that system can automatically reduce amount of items in loot on basis of whats going on on the market. As far as I remember there was issue with Molisk Teeth and WOF (or something similar). During one round participants were hunting molisks. After hunt they sold their loot (including enormous amounts of molisk teeth) and flooded market. Next year during this event MA disablet molisk tooth in loot manually.
So what I believe is that droprate is constant unless MA balancing team decides to change it. Some fluctuation do happen but everyone who knows basics of statistics knows that its pretty normal. |
